What is Jeseník Open
An international chess festival held in Jeseník since 1991. Nine days in August, three tournaments and players from the Czech Republic and abroad.
The Main Tournament is played over nine rounds at classical time control throughout the week, in two groups by FIDE rating, with a prize fund of CZK 52,000. Alongside it there is a one-day rapid tournament — the Svatopluk Hastík Memorial — and a blitz tournament; you can enter either of them without playing in the Main Tournament. Group A: players with a FIDE rating of 1800 and above
Group B: players with a FIDE rating of 1999 and belowPlayers with a FIDE rating of 1800–1999 may choose to play in Group A or Group B. No exceptions will be granted!
The FIDE rating as of 1 August 2027 determines the group and the entry fee. Any overpayments or underpayments will be settled at check-in.
Foreign players must have a FIDE ID. Players from the Czech Republic who are not registered with the Czech Chess Federation (ŠSČR), or whose registration is inactive, pay an additional CZK 150.

Group A players with the title GM, IM, WGM or WIM free players with the title FM or WFM CZK 500 players with a FIDE rating of 2300 and above CZK 600 players with a FIDE rating of 2200 to 2299 CZK 900 players with a FIDE rating of 2000 to 2199 CZK 1,000 players with a FIDE rating of 1900 to 1999 CZK 1,100 players with a FIDE rating of 1800 to 1899 CZK 1,800 Group B players with a FIDE rating of 1999 and below CZK 1,100 10% discount on the entry fee: youth under 18 (born 2009 or later) and students registered with the ŠSČR, seniors (born 1962 or earlier) and women.
Players registering on or after 10 August 2027 pay an additional CZK 200.

The total prize fund of the tournament is CZK 52,000.

Category discounts, the early payment discount and the group discount are cumulative.

- Accommodation
Accommodation must be arranged by 13 August 2027. We provide it, subject to capacity, at the Secondary School of Gastronomy, Agriculture and Services (Střední škola gastronomie, farmářství a služeb), U Jatek 916/8, Jeseník — in 28 triple and 4 single rooms, each with a private bathroom and toilet.

Players who have not paid the entry fee will not be included in the starting list.
ATTENTION! Once 220 players have registered, any further registrants will be placed on a waiting list due to the limited capacity of the playing hall. They will only be admitted to the tournament if a player with a binding registration withdraws.
A refreshment stand will be open in the playing hall throughout the tournament.
